The Boleyn ground was not, and never was a shit hole, and as a supposed West Ham fan you should be ashamed for describing it as such.

You're clearly the worst kind of snowflake football follower. I won't call you a fan because I can't imaging you getting fanatical about anything apart the state of the LS bogs.

Just a tip. You'd be a lot more at home with the soppy
wankers over at WHTID.

Yes it must be accumulative other wise its 10% per year

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
*The 4.6 million interest identified payable to Gold and Sullivan in the 2017-18 accounts may be an accumulative figure for more than one year as I understand It has been deferred in past.
Nevertheless, its not a free loan unlike other clubs.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
The FFP business is a bit of a minefield.Look at the likes of say Everton who we are supposedly competing with.
Moshir who owns about 70% of the club has loaned the club £250 million interest free.Compare this with the 45 million to Gold and Sullivan loaned to us with interest at 4.6 million per year.
The turnover for us and Everton in 2017-18 was 175 million and 189 million respectively
Everton also have an higher wage bill than ours which was over 100 million.

arguing about grounds on the eve of a new season with the most exciting team we’ve had for years is textbook WHO

To be fair Pat's side is not the only one going to extremes. ( though I think he is)

I hate popcorn, never owned a foam finger but have enjoyed games at both Upton Park and the OS.

UP was not a great experience for kids and families to go to in the end

Rubbish. I took my kids there for years with no problems what so ever. I think over the years we went in every section of every stand including having ST in BML.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Yes let's go to the extreme of it, there's nothing in the middle.

I bet you wear one of those foam hands to eat your popcorn with.

You're not very tolerant of those with opposing views are you son?

No wind, up just a point of view. grow up fraser the only thing resembling a circus is you, you clown!

Modern Football...Ok lets bring back racist chanting, fighting on the terraces and muddy pitches.

would you like that ?

fraser 4:58 Fri Aug 9
Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Fuck me someone saying the LS is better because it's a family atmosphere, it's not the fucking circus it's football, and that's everything that's wrong with modern football.

Loved going with my kids to the Boleyn as did they,

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
FFP the name at least is a UEFA thing and so does not affect us yet (hopefully)

The Premier League has its own rules and just got rid of the specific one on salary increase year over year.

I tried reading them from their official rule book and it requires a better (or at least more lawyery) man than I.

(A bit like every plaster back home is called a Band-Aid. And chose that example knowingly)

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Not an expert on FFP or anything but isnt there like a 5 year rule with it?

So they probably can get away with spending big now to try and make sure they stay in the league and then they can level out the imbalance vs money spent int he next 5 years.

May have just made all that up though but im sure i read it somewhere.

Pat.
After that nonsense the only other possible question is when are you going to come clean and admit you are on a wind up?

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
No Plank, just the ones who judge football grounds based on:
1) the state of the toilets
2) the number of children in said ground

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Fulham spent over £100m when they came up, how'd that pan out?

That said, I think Villa will be fine, a proper Prem club that one. Just gotta get Sheff Weds back now, hopefully taking Sheff Utd's place. Oh, and Leeds relegated would be handy.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
